Speaking of golf, it has got a lot more expensive since the days I played. My son recently played The Cowboys course here and the green fee was $180. When he played at Peeble Beach, it was over $300. Today you can pay more for a driver than I paid for my whole set. I remember when the Ping putter came out they were as scarce as hen's teeth, I drove up from Ft. Lauderdale to West Palm Beach to buy a used one for $35.

The course that I work at is a entry level private country club. It is $5K initiation and $11k/year.
The Boston, Cape Cod, and Hartford private courses are $25-50K initianion and $50-100K/year.
I gat a decent salary from my course but the other courses that I state.....those supers get $50-70K more than me.
Golf is not cheap for good courses. Even quality public courses around here are minimum $50 and go up to $110.
