I think that almost all of us here in the V10 forum have changed our own plugs..just make sure they're done right the first time.
It takes me about 2 1/2 to 3 hours, but I'm never going to rush it. Some have reported changing them in 2 hours. Some of us are a little on the large side and we have body parts that might get wedged into belts, pulleys and the like...
It's not difficult, just got to take your time.
I think someone reported a cost anywhere from $250 to $325 for a dealer to do it.

Hi all Have a 1999 F350 super cab 4X4 V10 SRW with 32's on it get 10 mpg when empty and get 7 mpg when towing a lite trailer, feel great if you are getting 14 to 16 mpg wish I could get that. I just had it at the dealer was running really bad missing, surging I have a scanner but it wont tell me what coil or plug is bad ended up replacing 2 coils at 92.00 each and paying 82.00 per hour labor so I think a tune up would cost you more then 300.00 if you take it to a ford dealer, also with the 2 coil packs bad it still did not throw any codes to the computer. Truck has 57K on it and was bought new the V10 was not one of fords better ideas should have kept that 460 for at least one more year.
