instead of acupuncture, the doctor i went to that put me on the decompression machine uses acupressure. it is basically the same thing, but uses pressure on the points instead of pins.
i did physical therapy for 3 years for the torn rotator cuffs.
within 6 visits, there is absolutely no pain whatsoever in the left shoulder, and only a very minor discomfort in the right shoulder when i stress it.
and i was told by 3 different hospitals i needed surgery on both, with reconstruction needed on the right shoulder.
I don't know if it is the same thing since there is an actual needle going into the
skin and your body knows it is in there!! It helps to make your body produce the
bodies own pain killers and it must make the tissues torn a tiny bit and it makes
the body repair itself. It kind of feels like little electric shocks even before she
hooked up the machine to them, When she taps on them it makes the muscle
move and it is kind of an invigorating feeling. It was fifty bucks a visit and at least
try it once and see how it feels, Just don't look at the needles because it could
freak you out looking like a pin cushion with 30 needles sticking in ya!! If you do
start feeling good from it don't rush it you still need some time for your body to heal
and she said alot of people will rehurt themselves since it feels normal but could still
be a weak joint or whatever is the problem, So take your time and let it heal and
listen to what they tell you.
ive taken all sorts of advice off of here, and this weekend will be about 4 weeks since it happened, its stilla little sore, but over the last 2-3 days, ive noticed a big difference. still a litle sore inthe mornings, but not as bad. and as it "warms" up throughout the day, its not hurting as much either, it looks like the pain is slowly going away. thanks yall, first time ive hurt my back before 30 years of age, and it was scary due to the fact that my movements were the equivalent to an 80 year old, and im not kidding, really thanks
