1977 flareside shortbed truck up here in new england . It has allot of options Factory Air conditioning, cruise control and a 400 engine. The engine runs and the C-6 transmission seem to be fine. The bed is in very good shape. It does have rust in all the normal areas for these trucks. Rusted in the lower tail gate, top of the drivers side of the rolled quarters of the bed ( Small pit holes ), cab corners, lower part of the doors, Were the Steps meet the rear fenders needs repair and front part of floor boards. All of it in the early stages and repairable. Everything else looks solid . As you can see by the pictures in very good condition for the east coast .The papers I have on it said it is from Georgia . I through it on craigslist for 2000 just to get it up there to see if I get any bites .
<OI also Have a repairable 1974 Styleside Short Bed that needs rust repair . no pictures but has rust about an inch up from wheel arches a little around rear tail lights and would need a patch in the middle of the bed other wise solid . Again a north east bed Should I sell Or junk ?

<OThe guy that had the flareside had all the parts for another flareside bed for my 1974 that came with the 1977 truck . Thats is were the styleside bed comes from my 1974 when I take it off .
Cool '77 flareside! Too bad about the rust, though. I'm currently in the market for a '70s 2wd shortbed flareside to replace the one that I recently made the mistake of selling. I'm looking for one that's in mint condition with no rust.
As far as price, it's really hard to say if you're in the right ballpark. I've seen trucks in worse condition sell for more than you're asking, but I've also seen better trucks sell for less. It really all comes down to finding the right buyer. Your truck is definitely a rare find because it's a flareside, so it has that going for it. As for the '74 styleside, I don't really see that being worth a whole lot because of the rust.
The price sounds reasonable for the flareside, considering it's a flareside with the big engine and a/c etc. Most likely a buyer would want to do a little negotating anyway. You may get more exposure on ebay.
Too bad I'm not a little closer I'm looking for a 73-79 styleside shortbed for a project. I have my eye on one around here locally, I'm just waiting for the owner to get back with me. I'd definitely reccomend selling it vs junking it.

78f250supercab- I checked out that ad on craigslist, but I'm looking for something better. Looks like that one needs paint. Thanks anyways, though! I am willing to travel for the right truck, and cost isn't really an issue(within reason, of course).
