this is my 83 ford f150
4 spped granny
302 soon to be 351 hopefully
33's
has 6 inch ranchero lift
thinkin about a a 3 inch body
needs a bench seat due to dumb buckets out of a van
and im goin with some cab lights
What ya'll think i should do with it?
What ever you do don't hack it up. Most of these trucks are still used as work trucks today or beaters so it is really nice to see one in as good of shape as yours. I own a restored '85 model and it gets looks everywhere it goes! I guess that is one good thing.....the really nice 80-86 models make you take another look and say WOW!
as for the buckets i just dont like em
i like the old bench seats i like having room to put stuff
and to have my girl sittin center right besides me
Cant argue with that. You could find a bench seat out of a newer truck, 87-96, that should bolt right in. I have buckets that I like, but I would prefer a power 40/20/40 split bench with the center console from a mid 90's truck.
I wouldn't go more than 1" for a body lift, half of them dont have all the parts you need to relocate bumpers and such anyway, it's just the cab bushings. With a 1" body lift and the proper backspacing on some wheels I think you could fit 35's just fine.
