The G27 is always on my hip, with accompanying G22 mag on the offside. The BUG G26 is in the small pull open storage bin with an extra clip as well. I to am looking to mount a holster to the console between the captain chairs.
LESSON: NEVER discuss your household defence online.
AM I GETTING THROUGH TO YOU?
So - who knows what you have now... You've just told everyone, haven't you?
Good Luck.... (he says, disgustedly)
I got my Ruger .44 mag six shooter behind the seat in my pickup.
The Red Label 12ga O/U is in the closet by the front door along with a variety of .22's.
In the bedroom closet is an old (legally) sawed off Interarms 12ga side-by-side with readily available buckshot loads.
I will show them to anyone who enters my home unannounced (he says cheerfully).
I have the Kahr PM40 in my waist band, the full size Glock 22 is under a towel beneath the fold down center seat back, the Kel-Tec .32 is either on my ankle when wearing long pants or in my back pocket when wearing shorts.
Wal-Mart sells a Brinks lock box for about $10. I have that lock box screwed to the hump of the transmission tunnel between the two foot wells (2WD truck). This allows me to lock the guns up when I go into a place I cannot carry, such as a school. This also give me a place to lock my wallet and cell phone when I'm at the beach.
sometimes it is necessary to leave your firearm in the truck. I do not like to this so I do not. I am waiting for a vault from console vault. They are currently producing a model for the 08 CC but until then I carry my P238 with me no matter the circumstance. "Better to be tried by twelve than carried by six". I carry in an executive shoulder holster. It is easily concealed and is good standing or sitting. You can see the console vault for securing your firearm here.

Reason: poor english
I live in Kalifornia -- need I say more?! IF I were to own a Glock 27, and IF I were to carry it in the truck, I'd likely put it and another full clip in the drivers glove box, where it likely wouldn't rattle around, and would be handy IF I needed it, and I wouldn't leave it in the truck. Sure hope it would fit in there IF I ever bought one...
I remember the day when almost everyone had a gun rack in the back window and never had to lock the doors or take out the keys! Those days are long gone...
Hmm. Didnt relize we still live in the wild west. What the .... do you need to carry a gun for in the truck? Just run'em over if they give you any .....(lol)
Is everyone that scared that we have to carry a firearm at all times ? I just have never been that scared but then to each his own.
Not about being scared. It's about being prepared. It's also about our right to bear arms.
People that carry firearms legally and understand how/when to use them are neither scared or illeagle.
Perhaps taking a gander at the latest NRA publication will give you a better idea. You'd be very surprised at just how many people / orginizations out there want to take our weapons away.

+1.
Guns are used for defense of life and property virtually every day in the U.S. For an accounting of this, look here:
Scared? Why would you not carry one? I've never understood the mind set of waiting to be a victim. I carried before I was a cop on a CCW and I carry constantly now.
About two months back we had a shooting in a bank parking lot on my district. An off duty federal agent was in the bank and heard the shots. He went out to see what was happening but for whatever reason had left his sidearm at home. The only thing he did was become another target, but was missed and got back in the bank. The gunman then finished off his victim, a random female, with a head shot as she was on the ground. I will never be that officer, wondering if I could have saved a life if I'd only been prepared enough (and not so friggin' lazy as not to) to have my sidearm should the same occur around me.
Its not about being scared any more than having a spare tire or wearing a motorcycle helmet is about being scared.
Don't have one because NJ frowns upon concealed weapons permits LOL. Could be a good thing though because I can see myself trying to shoot out someone's tires for running a stop sign like so many seem to do around my town.
Got stopped by a LEO the other day, for speeding. He asked for all the normal stuff and went back to his car. When he got back he said "I see you have a ccw permit. Are you carrying today?" I said "yes I am." Then he asked what my weapon of choice was. I told him a Springfield XD 45. He asked if he could see it, and how I liked it. I was a little freaked at first to pull my gun out with the LEO right there, but I did and we had a good conversation about guns. He gave me a warning and told me he really liked the gun. That si the first time I've been pulled over and not given a ticket. How cool is that. I keep mine in the center console with the gun loaded and 2 extra 12 rd. mags. A snub nosed .38 under the center seat, and a legally sawed off 12 ga. behind the back seat. YES, I AM A GUN NUT.
