I put bosche platinum in my 360fe expecting that paying for expensive plugs would get me better performance....
when I got to the auto parts store the employee who seemed very knowledgable about cars said you should change out those bosche and get back to autolite for better performance..why you say....he said because due to the fact i have points ignition they are easier to fire and so on and so on....any trueth to all this and willl i really feel much difference if I change back to autolite..Thanks DJ
Well I agree with the store guy but for a different reason. Those high dollar plugs don't work for crap in engines not designed for them. You want an increase in preformance and fuel economy in your 360? Use the car spark plugs with the extended tip. They are still cheap and work better. I know the Champion numbers RF9YC or RF11YC. I prefer the RF9YCs because they are cooler and I tow a lot.
isn't there kits to make your own spark plug wires? i know it's no big deal but i am tired of my middle wires touching. *i have to listen to them complain all day long he's touching me* : )
I use NGK's with a box (Mallory 6AL & Mallory E-Coil) on it! If you run stock stuff, then I would stick with Autolite. I run a 11to1 428 and used Autolite 124's and NGK's AP8FS. In my app, the NGK's worked well out on the street.
In your case I would stick with the Autolites, like everyone else has said. JMHO
