Yeah Fixer, it's on the rise a little high in the Eastern Sky.
Just called the wife. She had to drive up the road to get out of the trees to see it. Just a little low for her to get a good view from the house.
Here at work, it's wide open and crystal clear High Sierra skies. I wish I had my camera.
Well, the clouds cleared finally. Pretty impressive. Went to look out the front door and I caught it behind some clouds, so I stood there waiting for the cloud to move.
I'm sure I freaked out a neighbour across the street, he started closing his blinds...
Steve, can you see the blue color coming in and out from where you are? It may be because it's so clear up here that I can see it. Just curious. I don't want to sound like some hippie on phsycadelics (sp). But the color thing going on from up here is really impressive.

Copper, and a bit of turquoise color - the clouds are making it hit and miss, but i have seen those colors. I'm sure it's far more intense up there in the hills.
Where I can see the blues coming in isn't in your face kinda blue. Just subtle and in and out, mostly on the brighter side of the moon. Filtering light through the atmosphere / ozone.

That's great news. I'm glad to know that it's not just me.
I haven't even had a beer tonight, (at work and all) so I couldn't use that for an excuse.
I saw the entire thing - clear skies with no cloud here in the 'burbs of Toronto - was amayzing to see - I never paid much attention to stuff like this before, so this was something new for me.

I got hooked on that kind of stuff when I first saw the rings of Saturn, through a home made
telescope.
It was a bunch of San Francisco Sidewalk Astronomers, who set up their home built telescopes,
for the public to view.
you could see saturns rings last night during to total eclipse, the copper orange tone comes from past volcanic eruptions, the particles are in the atmosphere
I went outside for a while before it started and we had some haze to rhe west of the moon.
The moon was so bright it lit up the haze and it looked awsome.
I saw some of the eclipse from the kitchen window, then went to bed.
