Since our ford motors do not like some of the tricked out platinum plugs that are on the market I was wondering if anyone has tried side-gapping regular spark plugs. Since I have an extra set laying around I thought I would whip out the dremmel tool and give it a shot. Any thoughts?
I've heard that you can see your mileage go up with this type of plug same as with the new split fires and others similar. I am kinda skeptical that any dramatic increase will be seen from this.
That wasn't my point. The old racers who swear by side gapping plugs and would side gap the plugs in their lawnmower (not used for racing either) whether it was actually better or not.
