i was looking at this sweet truck for sale and it looked like it had an fe engine in it but the guy claims now that i talked to him that it is a 351 winsor
does any one here have any comparason info between the 390 and the 351 ? mostly i am concerned with torque will a c-6 fit on a 351 winsor?

Yes, a C6 will fit a Windsor, but you'll need a smallbock bellhousing on it.

You can build quite a stout 351 these days with the stroker kits and heads available.

i don't know i doubt that he knows either cuz he told me on the phone right now
"yeah it's got a stock 351 winslord and nothing has really been changed"
i didn't typo with winslord either
hey don't the spark plug boots on the 351 stick straight out as opposed to the fe's middle two boots angled twards each other

yeah freight train i know the pattern would be different that is part of the problem.
right now i am looking to carbon copy my truck and it's go parts that way if / when my tranny finally dies i have a back up truck to use while i rebuild then if the working truck blows a seal i can swap my engine to keep one of them running. but a 351 throws that out the window.

I know that the idea sounds dumb but i build houses for a living. and i just got laid off from the last truly busy contractor in my whole county. so for a while i will litterally live or die by my truck. last time i was in that situation i lost a tranny and rear end by hauling too much dirt with my truck.

and if i have two trucks with the same engine tranny and rear end then i can keep rolling no matter what but if i blow a seal in my fe and tranny on my 351 then i am outa work again with 2 trucks to fix and 4 people to feed

Yes, the FE has plugs angled toward center of head. The Windsor has them going all the same direction on each head.

THANK YOU FREIGHT TRAIN!!!!
i knew i had seen an fe in there. now i don't have to go over there and keep looking under the hood and give away how interested i am in the truck.
i don't want him to know how important this is to me
drug dealers know the law of supply and demand.
