I disagree, shorties do give power gains. And they also have fit advantages. Anything is better than a factory cast manifold. Shorties are easier to install and should give you a noticeable increase in power.

hahahaha There's nothing wrong with disagreeing.( you know,,,freedom of speech and all that...lol)

But your mistaken if you think there is much difference between shorty's and stock manifolds!

There is a guy over on F-150online With dyno proven results.
Shorty's= 0 power/0 torque.
Long tubes= 30 RWHP/35 torque!

I will agree with BearRiver. I have seen plenty of dyno sheets showing a gain from shorties.

Got a link to that dyno sheet you speak of?

Stock log manifolds suck. I have yet to see a dyno graph that shorties did not make some power increase.

I've seen a lot of dyno info in mags with shorties on a 5.4l 3V and they make decent #'s. I remember seeing in 5.0l Mustang mag a Mid Length set of headers make 30 hp and torque more than long tubes.

I agree long tubes are generally better but shorties still make power.

They look nice.
But check them over good when you get them. A couple guys have had pore workmanship in the welding on Pacesetter headers but most say there in good shape when they get them.
Kinda hit and miss but there the only company making long tubes for the 4.6
