Catalytic Converters
I disagree, shorties do give power gains. And they also have fit advantages. Anything is better than a factory cast manifold. Shorties are easier to install and should give you a noticeable increase in power.
hahahaha There's nothing wrong with disagreeing.( you know,,,freedom of speech and all that...lol)
But your mistaken if you think there is much difference between shorty's and stock manifolds!
There is a guy over on F-150online With dyno proven results.
Shorty's= 0 power/0 torque.
Long tubes= 30 RWHP/35 torque!

Stock log manifolds suck. I have yet to see a dyno graph that shorties did not make some power increase.
I've seen a lot of dyno info in mags with shorties on a 5.4l 3V and they make decent #'s. I remember seeing in 5.0l Mustang mag a Mid Length set of headers make 30 hp and torque more than long tubes.
I agree long tubes are generally better but shorties still make power.

Kinda hit and miss but there the only company making long tubes for the 4.6
