Level 10 Industries Level 3 Tranny

Anyone have any personal experience with this transmission? You can get it for $2700 (roughly) plus $200 shipping in the US. That price is higher that what I have been seeing but I read a lot of good things. On top of this, I have a friend who is running this transmission putting out mid 600 rwhp (off spray, lightning, running 21-22lbs twin screw) and he loves it. I am putting the Roush S/C on soon, will be running the stock boost for awhile, then turning it up a little (within safe limits of stock internals). I am wanting to do the tranny once, not go back later when i get more power. I only have 13000 miles on my truck but don't expect the stock transmission to last long. Just want to hear what you other S/C guys are running.

Thanks,
Greg

are you referring to level 10 power in new jersey??

if so, Pat, the owner of level 10, has been building transmissions for the better part of 30 years, and knows what he is doing.
and he is a site sponsor also.

Actually, Level 10 dropped sponsorship year. He does better with magazines, and that's cool. Online isn't for everyone. I'm running a Level 10 tranny built by Pat himself in my Roush F150. Everything that could be built in it was... and I'm happy.

So how much more is your build compared to the Level 3? More? The same? If you don't mind.

Mine was more:

- Larger torque converter installed.
- Larger oil pan
- R&R on location by Pat's staff
- Rebuild personally done by Pat (he's one of the nicest guys I've ever met and he really knows what he's doing)
- Solenoid changed.

Don't know the exact cost to be honest, some of it was complimentary.

.

Sounds good, I am not going to do the torque converter at the time I replace the tranny, but I have been thinking of a larger pan. Any recommendations?

Also, is your solenoid different than the one that comes in the Level 3 kit, it mentions getting a different solenoid I believe.

Go with the Level 10 pan. There are similar pans as far as looks go, but the one's he has made for Level 10 retains the stock gasket. Yes, the one in my tranny is the one in the kit.
