I seen a ford book, but I cannot remember what it was called but I want to buy it so I can read up before building my 400.

I believe the book you're looking for is "How To Rebuild Your Ford V-8 351C, 351M, 400, 429 460". It's available right here in the online store, no. MI101934A, $17.95. I ordered one earlier year. Hope this helps.
