Pop,

You got to this one first!! Rep points would have been given, but I can't yet.

Listen to him, folks, he's exactly right. Supercabs have the switch, crew cabs don't just for the reasons mentioned.

Pop is right, again. And it is the same on all makes, not just Ford.

But that's just a guess, as I have NO idea why Ford does things the way they do sometimes.....

BTW, if you pop off your instrument panel, you'll see the plug for the turn-off switch stowed back there. I suppose one could buy the factory switch and bore an appropriate hole in the correct place, even in a Crew-Cab.

If I were going to do that, however, I'd study the wiring diagrams REAL WELL before taking a cutter to my plastic.

Your pretty good at guessing Pop. Care to guess on this weeks lotto numbers for me?

I checked into this when I got my 02. Ford does not offer the off switch in the crew cab since federal law states that child seats must be in the back seat.

The wires are run and just sit in a holder in the back of the dash. I read another post where someone was trying to add this switch and you apparently have to reprogram the PCM or the airbag light will stay on
