Fe Aod Swap
So, I think I've seen guys with cars post about AODs, but I can't recall specifics.
I know one outfit sells them for 4x4, but they are well over $2000 in any beefed config.
So behind the mighty 390 it might be a gamble.

This is the site with the adaptors. Even to a 460....
Prepare for flame. My guess would be better luck would be had with a proper GM 700R behind a 390.

TCI has prices on their site. 700R $100 less than AOD, which you would easily burn up with the other changes. The question would be, after you burn up the wallet, does the trans burn up?
Then there is the proven high dollar combination of a mildly massaged C6 and a Gear Vendor OD.

If your 390 is a fire breather, that's the way to go, methinks, based on surveys of this and other sites, no FDIC insurance, your mileage may vary.
