Good looking truck and good timing for the photo. I have been struggling with my 52 paint (if I live long enough to get that far), two tone or not to two tone that is the question. At this point I am planning black fenders and running boards and red cab, same as you but maybe a different red. Yours looks very nice and original, did you have any struggles with this decision. What does everyone else think. I believe the 53-56 effies look better one solid colour but the bonus built truck are a differnet story.

I have chosen to go with the same color scheme, based on the yucky maroon mine is painted now. Not so much the color is bad, but EVERYTHING on it is hosed maroon.
I eventually want to end up two-tone green, with black boards, etc, but I want to get it on the road, so I'm going to quicky-paint the fenders, etc, black. I hope to end up something like yours, or the following:
This isn't mine - but mine should look very similar, except I plan to "weather" my black to make it looks as old as the maroon.
That looks really nice. The two tone, especially colors like those, looks sharp. It highlights the different segments of the truck which is something really not possible anymore.
I remember the first drive I took with my truck. No front clip or box but at least I had the cloudy cracked glass still in place. Sounds like your keeping the flathead? Good choice.
Great look for your truck. Have been looking for the straight arm side mirrors. Noticed your "before" picture has one on the drivers door. Are you intersted in selling.

Thanks
I've been looking, too...they sell them "repop" for about $150 the set...but Bob Jones has directions to make some, on his website, using a mirror, and arm from a truck stop. Look pretty good, and probably what I'll do...$150 is a little much, in my eyes.
But, the look is great!!
