I do not care for the cromed curved version. I found a vintage Yankee after market telescoping aluminum mirror. 5" round mirror, even was in the original box. It looks so close to the original that a little black paint is all it will need. Also will have to have a hinge mount fabricated for it. It came with a door edge mount or remove that and screw it to the door. I have seen the repops you mentioned and they will be a distant option. But I know patients pay off. By the way, I got the mirror while I was picking up a very nice set of 5 original 16x4 wheels and 5 very nice S/S trim rings as well. I usually miss the good deals by a day or two but Sunday was my lucky day.
