There is a tool called a spring loaded center punch or autopunch that you can use without a hammer to make the punch park. You just push it down and when you get to the preset tension it does the rest. How close are you to Providence, RI? I work there and will let you borrow my Dremel if you want to give it a try.
TheDaddyCat, Thank you very much! I just borrowed a Dremel from a co-worker and I plan on trying my luck with that on Friday ( day off ) I tried working the hacksaw blade in there last night but ran out of time before other obligations pulled me away. I really appreciate the fact that you would lend me the tool, it really speaks to the caliber of the people who help eachother out on this board.
Ok, Friday I got the bolt out!!! Yeah!! But...The cop broke at the flange where the bolt goes into the manifold. Opppsss! oh well at least I was able to change out the fouled plug and the truck no longer misses and is actaully running like it should! Thank you guy's for all of your help!
In case you are wondering how it came out...When the cop broke it left enough plastic and I was able to put a Gator socket ( Yeah the one with all the pins in it ) And yes don't laugh..it actually worked and got the bolt out along with the plastic.
The Dremel I was going to use would not fit in the area that I needed it to fit.
The cop bolt now sits on my desk at work ( I can see it from here ) to remind me to never give up! there are no problems...Only solutions.
Once again thank you !
