adding more height

I have already put on a rough country leveling kit and f350 rear blocks, i was wondering if it is possible to add new shackles simliar to this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FORD-...spagenameZWDVW
and added a add-a-leaf in the back will that work to gain a a few inches of lift over what I already have or is there an easier way to get this. Thanks

Those shackles are junk. I would look at this http://sky-manufacturing.com/ for 195$ it would be a million times better.

That's basically a shackle lift, just from a different manufacturer. Rubicon Express makes a hanger kit that makes that one look like crap. All depends what brand your looking at and how much you want to spend. Rubicon runs about $250, but looks 3X as strong. I've installed two kits. Allso alot stronger than factory hangers and shackles.

Check this out PS - That's a link!

If you don't like to read the moral of the story is it is good and bad.
The Good:
- Cheap
- Effective
- Relatively Simple - Note small alignment issues that must be overcome with a cumalong
- IIUnderstandC the bad front end geometry only applies when in 4x4
The Bad:
- Bad on Angles - Pinion, Caster, IDK what this all means...but it must be bad

The Moral:
It is better to lift both ends than just one. Ex are Brats' and Pat's leveling kits
It is better yet to do an add a leaf. They are about a hundred bucks from eBay.
It is better YET to do a spring pack. IIUC you already did this...

PS - Are you sure you aren't going to sit nose high if you do this? I think the F350 blocks and 2.5" leveling kit make the truck level still...maybe not.

The Sky kit is a hanger kit. It drops the front and back. Sky makes excellent parts.

Where can you buy the Rubicon Express kit for $250? Do you have a link? Thanks.

www.rubiconexpress.com I guess theres been a price increase for 2008, it now costs $289, I'm sure other places on web has it for less. I looked around and don't see it for any less. I've installed two of the lift kits, which include these brackets, they make the factory stuff look real wimpy.

If it were my truck i would get rid of the lift you have, there easy to sell. Go get your favorite 4" lift kit with at least gas pressure shocks. Because the time you spend on the other stuff beaten and banging, you would have a nice lift kit that has form and function. You will be much happier!
