yeah my girlfriend took like 200 pics... she went crazy with her camera. so yeah ill post some when i can.. but she was in my truck almost the whole time so i dont know if theres any good ones of me..
if you did a junkyard twin turbo 400 im willing to bet you could do it all for around 500. most people give away 400 and 351m parts because they cant buy off the shelf parts to make them power. ok maybe a little more depending on what kind of turbos you can find but still it would be really cheap and really bring a 400 to life. also dont believe you cant get turbos and carbs to work or turbos dont work well in offroad trucks. they need a very good filter and intake must be sealled if you see any water or sand but other then that they are just fine. ive got a 351 stroker that im gonna build when funds allow that will build 15psi from about 2000 to 6500rpms so power is always there.
Hmm, it's something i'll look into, If I can get parts cheap, I might set up something on the current motor when the new one is almost ready so if i -really- mess it up, i can just swap it and scrap it.
I'd most likely do a draw-through, because I couldn't care less about huge boost, my budget is the biggest factor. I'd probably try to hook it up so I can take the turbo in and out without too much trouble to clean it. I don't really like the sound of backed up fuel deposits in the turbo.
I'm going to have to do a lot of research, I don't know much about power adders beyond the basics.
let me know what you wanna know i have a million sites bookmarked for turbos as i spent over a year designing mine. now i just have to find a truck to start building it for. i would highly suggest staying away from a drawthrew system. yeah they are cheaper but not much and its not worth the risk if ya ask me.

I'd like to see some practical solutions for sealing the intake, which i was going to do anyway cause i'm kinda neurotic about getting mud/water in there.
the main thing is, where do i source headers and turbo, and what kind of turbo do I need? I doubt I'd even go over 8-ish PSI depending on the compression and how well I can hook up cooling. I'd like to have a fast spooler for torque, but the sheer volume of the motor means the smaller units wouldn't do much, would they?

I have seen people draw thier intake air from within the cab.
Oh, and I would probably go with a blow through set up, since I wrote that post... a lot more people have been going that route.
I am sure you can find parts out there

Exactly what c.i. is the engine you are putting it on... and at what rpms do you want the power?
