if you disconnect the choke its going to alter how much the choke valve will open which will mess with how well your truck will run. I dont remember if it will hold it all the way open or all the way closed but either way its not how its supposed to be and your truck wont run quite right.
ok. will it still be drivable? or is that something that i would have to determine the drivability of? like will it load up on me, or run to lean..... *man i'm such a noob* sorry...
just a little update. i let it idle in my driveway for about an hour today. then drove it to work with absolutely no issues. thanks guys! rep added to ya!
dont know where you live but if it gets cold those 4.9s can be a son of a gun to get started if the chokes not working
i would just turn the black round thing like someone said but just a little, about 5-10 degrees
i am betting its the module.
did you replace it yet?
make sure you test it. that way you know if its the culprit or not.
and like someone said, a new module wont make it run better, the difference is it will not overheat and shut you down
good luck
