No large tires or anything, did tune up 4 months ago before winter started. its also a 2 WD. Starts easy and idles normal yet when driving at 70 mph and climbing a hill I lose about 15 mph before I reach the top of the hill and it is not a real steep grade... just put a new clutch and brakes also...
That would be my guess. Jack each tire up and make sure it spins with no restance. It is amazing how much friction can be created from a bad bearing or a stuck brake.
No it started as the temperatures started to go down, as far as the brakes and stuff, the tires spin freely and the trans is a 4 spd. also put new exhaust system in it last summer.
check tire pressures both my vehicles were low because of the cold weather, dad has an 87 f150 2wd short bed 4.9 w/ 3 speed w/od, 3.55's and he gets-17-18 mpg's all the time.
