Ever since I got my dp tuner i keep getting a ICP not controllable code, It appears in the 80 econo, 120R, and 140Ex settings. Any body have any ideas, HPOP, ICP sensor or IPR. Any insight would be great. Thanks in advance.

Getting the P1211 code is normal to get when adding a chip or programmer that calls for increased ICP and longer pulse width. You have ask for a certain PSI to get the fuel out of the injectors, among other things, to you give you the added HP.
If you want to get rid of code you may have to get a Dual HPOP system or equivalent. All this means is the stock HPOP can't keep up with what is demanded in the program(s) for ICP. Not all trucks have this issue, only ones with weaker HPOP systems.

Thanks, that is what i was thinking might be the issue. The tuner is great, way better than the superchips i had before. I am thinkin about getting the pulse hpop, when i get enough cash.
I have the opposite problem after getting the Terminator HPOS and Jody's live tuning. Now when I mash the pedal to the floor, I set P1282 for excessive ICP pressure. 3800 psi of oil pressure will do that
Why not get the overboost annihilator and be done with it? Yeah, there will be a soft code thrown when really getting on it but no big deal. About $50 from ITP or DP.
I have the overboost annihalator already, even tried adjusting it to a lower pressure setting. no luck. i think its just a weak hpop. The pickups got 138,000 on it.
Well is it a hard code setting the steady SES light? If not, who cares? You are maxing out the stock HPOP. The injector max is not far beyond that so again who cares? Or spend the $$$$ on BO and squeeze out that last 10-20% on the stock injectors. What are your dyno #s or strip times?
This thread brings up an interesting ? I have never pondered before. What is the max power to be had from the stock split shot injector?
BTW, he already posted that his code is ICP, so the overboost annihilator won't do anything for the HPOP or his SES light. Totally unrelated.
Bone stock splits will put roughly around 350'ish hp to the ground with BO and other supporting mods. I haven't put my truck on the dyno, but according to my drag strip ET's and trap times I should be around 350hp, give or take. The addition of the big oil alone dropped 8/10ths of a second off my times.
Of course with NOS that number can be pushed higher, but I'd rather keep my PMR rods inside the block.
Let's keep the drugs out of the equation for now. I saw he posted the ICP code and doubt it is a hard code. Again, I say if the truck is fast enough for him, who cares? Mine set the SES light quite frequently in the hotter tunes, but ran great. It went away about as fast as it came.
For about the same money for BO, I have hybrids now and run even faster with no SES whatsoever. Different strokes for different folks.
Thanks for the split shot HP info. I doubt any truck with the healthiest of stock HPOPs will ever see 350 with them units. I believe the max for that setup is about 320 for an average truck with a good chip.
So the ? is, do I want to spend 2k for another 30-40hp potential or go with something capable of over 400? Of course we need a different turbo to move the requisite air but you get my point. Food for thought. Before you ask, I will not be on the rollers until Smokin in April. That is my date unless I hit the strip before then.

I'd love to go with bigger injectors, but it would cost me way more than the price of big oil to do that. Sure the injectors themselves would cost about the same as BO, but new rods, headstuds, springs, etc etc etc all need to be dropped into my engine at the same time to make it work. More money than my wife will let me spend

Hello - I have the same problem. Just installed the DP Tuner and the light didnt come on until I was within 20 miles of my destination and has been lit ever since. I ran the code at Autozone and came back with the same code, P1211. I was running the 60HP tow at the time and cannot figure out to clear the code as of yet. Truck seems to run ok and error is present in all tunes. Lights up right after engine start. Any easy suggestions to try? Sorry I am a newb to the 7.3 - please be patient. Thanks!
That code shouldn't pop up unless you are very heavy into the throttle. If you see the SES light right after starting while doing nothing but idling, something else is wrong.
Also, don't trust Autozone scanners, most of the time they can't read Powerstroke codes.
I agree with Pocket. Get your truck to someone with a better scanner than Autozone. I had my guy read mine with a handheld unit and it pulled nothing. He went in and got his laptop and got 2 codes, one being the 1211 and I can't remember the other. If your ses light won't go out, there is something else going on than a 1211.
