Loss of power and a noise. HPOP or turbo. Could be as easy as a sensor. Looked for your noise post could not find it. Anything else, bucking, cutting out, coolant loss, smoke???????

Good luck

Looks like two posts on the same issue (probably because you didn't get a lot of responses on the other post). Now the other post looks like it is getting good support (if so, you may want to close this one):

okay so truck got diagnosed, oil pump went out. Just as suspected. Do these motors have a low ppressure pump and high pressure pump also? Thanks guys! I'll be back on the road soon.

Yes - regular oil pump for lubrication and high pressure pump, HPOP, for actuating the injectors. Glad you are getting it taken care of.

I'm wondering what makes these HPOPS go out? Is there something I can do to prevent this in the future? Thanks bismic

Okay, so got my truck back and it runs great. They removed the injector pressure oil regulator and found a hole in it with some metal from the high pressure oil pump internal damage. So they relaced those two items and all is good.
