My e4od under light to normal throttle kinda hangs up between 2nd and 3rd. Like it starts to shift then hesitates, then completes the shift. If I floor it, it shifts really hard into 3rd. I mean it really slams HARD into 3rd. All the other gears are normal. How can I make this stop?
And is there any way to raise my shift points? It shifts into OD at 35 mph. Way too low for me.
ya, i think this thread needs the expertise of MADVAN or Tjbeggs... both are major users of "the cure"
or you could always go here: www.fordtransmissioncure.com
but those two guys will be able to tell you more about it than anyone else...

Check to see if you OD lamp cancel lamp works.
Trans could be in limp.
At 35 it should be the TC locking not the OD.
Are you shure its the OD at 35?

Trying to get my but in gear. Going southbound for the 500.
Trans is 3 years old, a reman from Aamco. Had a lot of trouble with it, then I had Ford re-flash the PCM, and all the problems cleared up...except the ones above.
The OD cancel works fine. And it is definitely shifting into OD at 35.
I would scan for a code and some realtime data.
Has anyone ever checked the rear gear ratio? It could of been changed.
Could be a mismatch. Dont know if you have POSM or non POSM.
At 35mph are you really going 35mph. You will need the scan to see what mph the PCM is seeing.
I'll check the ratio, should be 4.10's, but you're right;coulda been changed at some point. What's a POSM? What's a scanner cost and where's the best place to buy one?
