Weird Electrical Problem

I don't think capacitors would cause this problem. If the lights flashed on then off, then maybe. But he says they are staying on, so he has a steady current flow from a battery source somewhere.

Its your headlight relay. Any relay can stick every once in awhile. Happened to my wifes 98 Explorer. The second time I pulled the relay to get the lights off (after pulling the key they were still on) I gave it a wack to dilodge the stuck contact and no problems since. Try that.

Headlights on=relay stuck
Its your headlight relay. Any relay can stick every once in awhile. Happened to my wifes 98 Explorer. The second time I pulled the relay to get the lights off (after pulling the key they were still on) I gave it a wack to dislodge the stuck contact and no problems since. Try that.
