If you're going to commit a high-profile mass-murder/suicide, why not pick an institute of higher learning?......After all, the 'geniuses' in charge of such institutions have joyfully and self-righteously lobbied and guaranteed that everyong legitimately ON the institutions is disarmed......

About 1 year before the VT mass-murder, the school successfully fought off attempts by the state to null-and-void their policy to expel students and/or teachers who practiced the legal (state) policy on conceal-carry....They TRIED to make it prosecutable, but the court and state said nyet........They applauded their anti-gun-on-campus stance, and remained defiant after the mass-murder.......

This is just more of the same.....sheep being led to the slaughter.

This all just makes me sick. I have 2 young children (6mos and 4 1/2) to think how many nut jobs are going to pollute this world when they are older just sickens me. I too approve armed guard on campus especially now. I honestly do feel for my children and the idiots they will come across.

I suppose it could though.

But my friend, have you ever been on Berkley campus. Man, I have, and any self rightous, murderous idiot would even be scared away from that place. Dude, there be folks from other planets there!

my uneducated guess is that if you went and kicked the crap out of that douchebags parents you would be on the right track. just another good thing to come of the policies taught nowadays..... such as not keeping score, not keeping grades, make them all the same, so they never learn to cope with loss, defeat, frustration etc, etc. the wussification of america continues!!!!!!! to bad others had to pay for that losers inability to cope. where are the people capable of assesing the situation, and acting to save themselves and others. we teach everyone to cower and cave "to survive". seems more and more you are gonna die anyways, why not tackle the jerk from outside his attention and just bloody the floor with the mash that you leave of his head. nope we have taken away the ability to react, we are no longer hunter gatherers, no we are sheeple. the lions must be broken and subdued until we no longer have lions capable of handling real danger. okay sorry for my rant, i hope everyone survives, sickened by the proximity of this tradgedy to my own world, just not quite close enough for me to destroy a douchebag. Dan

Nail on head! Until PARENTS become such we will see this stuff. My wife is a school teacher as I have said before. She sees so many neglegted kids it is just redicilous. White, black, hispanic, asian, etc., she see it all.
I have been a guest in her class room several times, because of my involvment in flying and aero-space.
It is sad. Third graders just learning to read. Third graders refusing to learn to read. Parents that just don't care.

This is just a reflection on the water, of what our future is going to be.

I am glad I am in my 50's. I will be dead and gone when real crap happens.

But I fight for my grandchildren. I feel for them. They will get the crap!,, and it pisses me off!

Why dont our schools ever make the news?

do y'all realize that down here in south lousiana, we have had 4 school shootings (at our colleges and universities) in the last 2 months killing a dozen people total?

yea, i heard about the lousiana shootings, they made the russian news but did not read anything here about it, at least on the headlines.

the shootings are becoming a bit too common place for my comfort.

the media highlighting it has made it the "in" thing to do i guess by the homicidal crazies out there, but what to do...never report anything?

it still amazes me with all the opportunity and economic success available in this country there is so many screwed in the head people. maybe some people just can not handle having an easy life. maybe they would not go nuts or feel the need to commit violent crimes if they had to put an effort into everyday living.

I have a strong belief that they do this due to the media attention these masacres get. It makes them feel like the whole world will get their point (which we don't) and people will respect them (which we won't). This is all a big attention problem otherwise they would just kill them selves. I to think it is a parenting problem. The sad thing is that the media will point at video games, movies, and T.V. this in my mind is BS. Back when bugs bunny and the gang used to blow things up on saturday morning cartoons as we all sat there with our eyes glued on the T.V. there wasn't crap like this going on in our schools. As for video games that too is crap I play Grand Theft Auto (the one the media points at) and guess what I don't go out killing innocent indiveduals. The kid's parents probably sat on the couch drunk as hell and payed no attention to them unless it was with their hand and they have this built up anger just waiting on someone to light the fuse. Some people even blame this whole thing on the music. Hell I listen to heavy metal and again I haven't killed anyone. It is all in how they were programed from birth. Part of the blame should also be laid on the kids for not seeking help and reconizing the pain they have inside.

Dam, this one really hit close to home. My cousin (Nick) goes to that college and had just finished with his classes for the day and left at 2:00, which by the way was his short day. He said he was 3 buildings over from were it happen. My aunt called and talked to us telling what had happen and she was shaken up at the least. I’m just so glad that nothing happen to him, I can not even begin to think about how these people can go into a class room and pull the trigger and take innocent lives…..crazy…crazy. I’m just glad he left when he did and my thoughts go out to the families and students that were killed and wounded.
