Smile ebpv

i unpluged my ebpv valve by my turbo the other day and my truck dont hiss anymore and i am so glad cuz its been cold in indianapolis and sometimes it would hiss almost the whole time i would drive but not no more thanks guys for all the awesome tips

life is better without the EBPV, but I will bet that you need a thermostat (would recommend the 203 from the diesel site) you will see a big performance increase if your truck is not currently reaching proper temp

I need to change my T-Stat, too. Since I unplugged the EBPV, she doesn't warm up nearly as good as she used to.

I don't miss the hissing, but I definitely am running too cold for optimum performance.

is there any way to tell how hot the engine is running with the stock temp guage? i dont have an after market one with all those fancy "numbers"

find somebody close with auto enginuity the can read your oil temps. that is about it.

I'm in Orlando and even in the middle of summer, when it's like Africa hot outside, my needle nevers gets up to the normal area.

I don't know, Joe...I like it when my fuel reads like that! I have my new 203* t-stat. Just looking for some cat coolant and a politically-correct place to dump my cooling system. I have 152k miles on original hoses. I think I might do that, too. Unplugged the EBPV today and I think I like it.
