so 400 hp without the bottle then? this definitely looks like a good investment. does a turbo whistle pretty loud on an engine like that? I love the sound of a turbo!
Well if you were to put a time space continuem in the bed, I think you could easily go back in time. That burn out reminds me of the movie "Back to the Future." Awesome truck. Cops will pull you over just to look at it now, lol.
It has no muffler...the 3" down pipe goes through the drivers motor mount then down and out behind the drivers front wheel...and yes it whistles...some think the turbo is too small but for the small amount of boost im running (6lbs) it has no problem spooling up and scalding the tires. The turbo itself is a t57 hybrid which on my Syclone (same turbo) will push 25psi without any problems so theres enough to push the crank out onto the pavement if I wanted..I dont beat on it like i used to, its in need of a rebuild because the crankcase is getting pressurized so Im thinkin there is probably a broken ring. no blue smoke though....and I sold the flux capacitor to finance my 1991 GMC Syclone...(the other project)
It has a Greddy BOV, Tial 38mm wastegate, I have an extra air to water intercooler for my Syclone but havent installed it yet...Im thinkin after the engine rebuild I will run 2 of these turbos and throw some methanol injection into that mix....I made the headers so that I can adapt the second (passenger side) turbo by adding a 90degree piece of 3" to it and pointing it up and presto "twins".....SWEEET I cant wait..
