Front brake caliper hold down bolt torque

Front brake caliper hold down bolt torque
Anyone know what the torque value is for the bolts that hold the front calipers on? 2002 4X4 is the truck.

Caliper bolt, 166 ft/lb, caliper slid pin bolts, 42 ft/lb

Mine was a little different being a dually. Don't forget to grease the calipar pins.

I need to do my front brakes this weekend too....are you guys doing the caliper pin upgrade as well, or just the pads only right now?

I bought a new set of caliper pins from the dealer with the thought that at least one would be bad. I didn't use the ones I bought because mine were still in great shape. I cleaned and greased them up and put them back in.


I changed the pads and rotors.
