The Lightning intake is definitely worth getting.. if for nothing else but the awesome look of the tubular upper.
It will allow even a stock motor to make more HP and will complement later upgrades better than the stock intake. It requires a single tube intake and possibly a different throttle cable as well as a single bore TB of course.

first off sorry to bring back an old thread but I dont want to start another for the same questions. First is the lightning lower the only one I can use with the 5.8 in my truck or can I use the explorer uppper/lower? Second I am in the market for some Gt40 heads if I stay away from the P heads will the headers I have work with the swap? If not can any one point me towards some that confirmed to work with the combo? Thanks for all the help guys.
