Door wont open! PLEASE HELP!!

I went to get in my 67 f100 the other day and I couldnt open the driverside door. I started working on it today and I cant figure out how to get the door open. I have tried locking and unlocking it several times, I have tried using the inside and outside handles. I have taken the inside door panel off and everything appears to be working but obviously its not. I am assuming that it is something inside the latching mechanism I cant see. I cant take the mechanism off since the door wont open.

Does anyone know how to open the door in its present state. I am wondering if there is a small lever or something I can use to release the latch and open the door.

have you removed the handle recently? they require quite a bit of hinge action to release and open otherwise it will be stuck shut. might want to look into that. mine was all goofy after i started messing with it. another thing you can do is grind down the latch post a little with some sandpaper. and then grease it.

no I havent messed with anything it just wouldnt open the other day when I went to get in.

Confirm that all of the linkage rods are in place, and nothing is loose. I do not recall if there were any nylon retainers on door locks. 67 is unique to it self. It was changed in 68 to meet the new DOT requirements.
