probably the same tard who said a 4x4 dually pickup wasnt needed!!!!!!!!!

i know a guy who had a 99.5 truck in alaska when he was in the service and his truck had a box under the seat that cranked up fuel pressure, and idle.

Tim I agree on the adjustable part. I have a TW chip with the high idle and sometimes it just isn't high enough. When I get my II's I plan on dropping one of my tow settings and adding another HP setting. I will then ask if he can bump up the hi idle. right now it is around 1000-1100 RPM.

Only read page one of this post. I'll get to page two in a minute.

Yes, I'm interested in this mod. I think it would safe to say, if you have a mod you've done in the past, especially with a write-up and pictures, I'm interested in seeing it.

If you don't want to post it, PM me. I'm starting a "Truck Book" of the mods I want to do.

On to page two.

The version I run is super simple craig. Two wires, a rotary switch, and a resistor.

If your TPS has a 3 wire connector you should be able to do it exactly the same way. Just tell me the wire colors on your TPS connector so that I can cross reference with my wire colors I can explain the procedure almost in a single sentance.

Probably have to wait until Saturday for pictures. My evenings are kinda booked tomorrow and Friday night.

The TPS (throttle position sensor, right?) is under the dash on the pedal assembly, correct? If that's what you're talking about, I'll try to take a look under the dash this weekend.

Since my back surgery, I don't bend as well as I used to. Are these Radio Shack items? Do you have part numbers available?

Thanks for the info. PMS is fun. I don't know my wife is complaining about.

My 97E will fast idle cold.
The colder it gets the higher it will idle at cold start Only.
Max is 900rpm.

Does it bump up after normal start? I have noticed with this chip my cold starts shoot way to high in the RPM's! Not good!

Was it a 60/80T?
A 60/80T will do that.

You might be seeing the split over the mismatch you had before.

Bill yes its a 60T. its not bad when I plug it in but at the end of the day when I leave work it starts and shoots to 1200. I don't like that at all!

Yep. It will do that.
Slight higher oil pressure.
Sort of feels like starting a 2stroke. It rpm's then falls.

Bill and TJ my 97 is the same. cranks and goes straight to high idle 900 rpm, then after it warms up it distinctively drops to 650, I thought all of ours were this way, my PCM must be slightly different, course I believe my truck was built in 08 or 12 07 somewhere in there.

Most plug the truck in. So they do not see the raise.
Dont know if some of the early codes do not do it.
I do not plug it in. It slowly raises as amb drops. Will say by 15/20*F amb it peaks the cold start RPM. Under the 15 its all the same.

My 97 is the same aswell. Shoots right up to 900 after she fires.

Anyway, I look forward to seeing the pictures and the writeup.
