Desk Top Dyno
Any one here have a desk top dyno?
I have my engine in a machine shop and it's going to be rebuilt back to stock spec except for the bore will be 40 over.
Could you please tell me what the displacement will be?
302 ci 40 over,FI and AOD trans rear gear is 3.55.
Thanks

a 302 w/ .040 over should be about a 308-310 cubic inch.

all depends on the heads and cam you dicide to run, are useing flat top pistions? a stock 302 in '85 made about 185hp I think, so your probaly looking at someware in the 200-250 range on a stock build w/ a .040 over.

Thanks the cam and all will be stock wish I could put a stronger one in but I'm just want to get it running. The pistons are flattop with 4 valve reliefs
Thanks for all your help.

Power will be about the same. You will gain more by having a well sealed cyl bore, then you will gain by a few extra CI.

I dont see your logic.. If you're buying a cam anyway it shouldn't cost you any more to get a better than stock replacement.
