Hi ,
I drive, or rather was driving a 95 e350 'till a buddy blew up the trans, my question to you all is will a 4r100 work in place of an E4OD? {i found somebody who is willing to part with one} or would that just be too much trouble for no return?

It depends on which engine. If it is a deisel, then yes, a 4R100 will work. Any other engine it won't bolt up. The 4R100 was only made with modular engine and diesel engine bolt patterns. It wasn't made with the small block or big block patterns.
