Relay, not circuit breaker. Anyways I strongly suggest you check you battery terminal to make sure the starter wire is in good shape. I’ll send you a PM on how to bypass the PATS, no need to let the world know. I don’t think that’s your problem, but it will also rule out some other things.
I have the same problem! I was replacing the factory head unit with an aftermarket one, and now this truck won't start either. It's an 04 f-150. Everything else works fine...all the dash lights come on, the horn, hazards head lights everything...but the truck won't start!
We spent a total of 11 hours so far checking every fuse and relay in the truck and they are all good. I have no idea what else it could be. We traced the yellow / blue trace wire all the way to the fuse box and there aren't any fusable links on it that we found...we even disconnected the wire that goes to the starter and jumped it with a 12V source and it kicks over but will not start.
Does anyone know what this could be...? Is it something the dealer can reset for me? I already put the factory radio back in.
I'll double check but I think it stays steady red while trying to start it. I just don't want to have to tow it up to the ford dealer because I know they'll probably charge me alot to bypass or erase any code it may be throwing.
took mine to the dealer.....5 hours in -12 temp...I had enough...turns out whoever had the truck before me had an additional security system put on it and apparently it doesn't like it when you remove the neg side of the battery...it locked out the ignition and wouldn't let it start...back mobile now thanks for all the suggestions!!!

Holy cow...that's exactly what they told me today! That the previous owner either had or tried to put in a security system or remote start system and that's what caused it...!! They then told me that I need to replace the wire harness under the hood because it's not communicating with the ecm, and I'm looking at about $2K total.

So if you have an alarm installed and then your battery needs to be replaced you are screwed? That seems odd.
ya that what i thought.....but the dealership bypassed it all for me they said good thing i didn't go messing around with it cause it could have voided my current warranty... they told me they justed bypassed the ignition wiring that caused it to lock out...running like a champ now
