i was wondering if anyone had the led mini light bar and if it fits under the bed? I bought one from rural king and it wouldnt fit because it was to wide and the tailgate would hit it when you opened and closed it
Search for fire and ice, there have been several threads on this subject. I actually just purchased one (don't know the brand), but it's been way too cold to install it, so I'm not sure if it'll fit or not.
I just put the fire an ice on my supercrew. It fit just fine. I did have to cut part of the plastic backing on it where the tail gate stop bar is but no big deal. I just wish I could see it. It's a great look, easy to install and cheap.
I recently saw a superduty with an LED bar like the fire and ice only it wasn't lit completely across..looking at the bar, the LEDs were broken into a typical rear truck config, one on each side and three close in the middle while in running light mode, then the whole bar lit up when the brake was applied.
I just picked one up on ebay for my wifes 07 f150 around 95$ with shipping. they come in either 48" or 60" .48" were half that price . Comes with r and l turn signal, brakes, parking and reverse. i bought the 60". It also has a plug for the 4 prong trailer plug. I just cut the end off and hard wired them in. There is plenty of room for the tailgate to open.
...you still may want to visit the SG site...for info (they have 3,6,9" strips plus 12" and 15s) The ones pictured on the side of mine are dual colored. Amber (shown) and white. In the picture I have the "puddle lamps" as being amber- but will probably change it to the white side and use the amber for turn-signals.
Tho I'm sure you could wire it to however you see fit (if you ended up getting the dual colored LED strips).
