well heres the deal , got a 92 f250 2wd xcab pu paid 20$ for it , needed oil cooler, fixed that and it runs great most everything this truck does is towing so i really want a flatbed dually ( i know some people will say ah ya dont need duals but i like to have them) problem is the idiots at ford decided to make pickup frames wider than they used to ( whose stupid a** idea was that ) so ya cant just stick duals on a pickup thell hit the springs. I dont want adapters and finding a dually pickup rear is next to impossible here . so here is my thought why not build a four link air ride for the rear what do ya think thanks mike
Why not indead. as long *** you have the skills and equipment and if that'll give you the room you need shouldn't be too hard. just get a leveling valve and some bags frome you're local truc dealer, some large air tanks and a compressor for a minne truck should be able to suply the air. Most big trucks use a three link setup. only thing i'd be worried about is if it will give you enough room to run duals. Also you could look into 19.5 rims with truck tires should give you more capacity pluss you wouldn't have to modify you're truck theres a few companies that make them with the stock ford offsets and lug size bolt them on and you're good to go.
The frames where wider in regular trucks then Cab and chassis because of the beds and applications of service utility stuff. It can be pain to deal with sometimes when you are looking for parts.
