Y- pipe ?

Y- pipe ?
Well it might be a long story so bare with me on this one. So three weeks ago me and my buddys where out on this frozen pond doin doughnuts with our trucks, well I go to get off the ice and I break through (it was only about 6 inches deep) so I try to get out doesnt work so my buddy pulls me out. Well in the mean time when he was pullin me out my exausht got ripped off. Only thing I had on there was the stock y-pipe with no cat and a FM 50. The next morning I orderd a ebay y-pipe hopein it would arrive before the next weekend because I was going to northern MI. snowmobiling and I wasnt going to be driving up there with no exausht. Well the y-pipe never came in time, so I went to the muffler shop and just had them put the cat on with no muffler after the cat just staight pipe all the way back. Well that sounded great I had more low end TQ and the sound was perfect. The next week my Y-pipe comes in so I have the muffler guy put the new Y-pipe on and now I lost bottom end TQ and sounds horrible. Should I buy a FM 70 or just find a stock y-pipe and be done with it. Because the way it is now the ebay y-pipe im not impressed at all!! Would putting a FM 70 or 50 on there get enough back presure to make it feel like theres more TQ than stock. If not anybody have a stock y-pipe they want to sell for a 99? Thanks

Honestly, don't know why you'd change out the Y-pipe on your 99. It never had the necked down part and never needed to be replaced.
You could try an FM70. Probably not a bad idea even if you'd kept the stock Y.

Really I thought that ram horn on the passenger side of the stock y-pipe would cause alot of restrictions. Thats why I changed it. Well anybody have a factory y-pipe they want to get rid of? From a 99 Thanks Monsta
