Hey Guys did alot of searching about shocks. Trying do decide between Rancho 9000xls or the Edelbrock IAS. It seems that Bilsteins are the shock of choice but was leaning towards the Ranchos because I plow with the truck and tow alot. Plus could Bilstein make an uglier color dont think I could live with that yellow/blue combo Thanks for your imput
I have the Rancho RSXs and I hate them. I had the Edelbrock IAS on a '95 F-150 and I absolutely loved them. I wish I would have put them on this SD, but I was trying to save a few bucks.
i currently have Gabriel Max Control shocks from Auto Zone... i picked them over the Bilsteins due to that fact i didn't have to order them and i haven't been disappointed with them, plus i have a one year warranty that i just return them to Auto Zone instead of dealing with an online dealer.. for 55 bucks a piece they are good.
oh i think Auto Zone will order the Edelbrocks for you (well mine would have)
I get that on my truck if I am running my tire pressure too low.
Thanks ,but I've played around with the tire PSI and nothing, other than a load, seems to help much. I know it is a truck and that it bounces when empty ,but i'm still hoping to hear that new shocks will dampen the shudder/bounce better than the OEM shocks.
I think the factory spec Bilsteins are still yellow. This will be my replacement shock of choice for both my F-350 and the wifes Tahoe. I too am not a fan of the yellow color so I will hit them with some black spray paint prior to installing them. Personally, I'd rather spend a few dollars on paint then have inferior shocks.
i have the bilstein HD's and plow with them and also tow/haul with my truck and have yet to have any issues with them, i have about 15,000 miles on them so far, and i tihnk that they have a lifetime warranty
