I don't think I mentioned it, I took the clutch and flywheel out a week and a half ago. That makews it sound like I did it. Well..... maybe I did help the clutch! Anyway, the dual mass flywheel let go and the clutch started slipping bad, so I was forced to get new stuff. Got a smoking hot deal through Rubberduck's (on the diesel forum) friend at Valair. A single mass flywheel and upgraded clutch, disc and bearing. I'm going to start on it today, but have to work all weekend again, so I won't have her together til next week. I'll let you know how it turns out.
Well, I'm getting there. Got the tranny ready to come out and ran out of time. Now it'll have to sit until Monday. Sometimes shiftwork sucks. Once I get her together I'll looking for a shift or 2 of OT to cover the cost. As for the cost, The stock flywheel would have cost me $1900 plus another $600 for the clutch components. I found a guy in Winnipeg (don't remember his name now) that could get me a single mass conversion for $1000. That included everything. Rubberducks friend got me the same thing for just south of $500. (I was asked not to give exact dollar figures as he wasn't really supposed to let it go at that price. When Rubberduck said he'd fix me up, he wasn't kidding!!!!!) That's clutch and associated parts and flywheel.
