fuel filters

PFF4604: is this the correct part number for the fuel filters. it is on the dieselfiltersonline page. they have it listed as fuel filter/water separator. is this correct. seems like a decent price, 39.00

All these below are the proper fuel filter:

I have personally not verified that the filters highlighted in yellow are OEM style or not. I have read that they are.

I get the OEM filters from IH for around twenty something. I'll post the part number tomorrow if you need it. You can probably find it if you do a search.

wow, I went to my local ford service yesterday to get a price, 71$ for the filter kit? It came with both the water seporator, and the filter on top of the engine. Then I went to a little parts place and they wanted 80$ for the same kit!
Question; do I have to buy the kit at that price, or can I just get the filter thats on top of the block? I do have 80k on the truck, not sure if preveous owner had them changed or not.

$71 from the dealer is not bad, I have seen it higher than that. Still it is way over priced.

The best option is to buy them from a International dealer, if you have one close. Part number is 1847170C93. It is a kit with both filters (Yes, both filters should be replaced at the same time) for about $35.00.

Next best place to get them is online. Best I have seen lately is $34.95 plus shipping. Click the link below...

Another option is Santex International. They will ship them if you call and order. The number is 888-898-0972. Last I heard they were $30.69 plus shipping. Part number 1847170C93.

I buy mine at International for about $35. You do need to change both filters together so you will have proper protection and pressure to your engine.
