Just like the current F150, there will be lots of grilles. XL, XLT, STX/FX4, Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum all have different grilles. I like the Lariat grille best myself, but as before if you don't like yours you can swap it out for another.
I think the new F150 front end looks like something you would expect from Lincoln. Not exactly a manly look.
see....now I don't agree....I was hoping for a more upscale look on the platnium....i like my lariat chrome package grille or the Mark Lt grill better than the new ones...
Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. I think all the new trucks are just plain sexy as hell. Even yota threw caution to the wind. I'm more excited about the intro of the new 4.6L 3 valve and the elimination of the V-6 than anything else. I'm equally disappointed that you may have to buy a $45K truck to get the tail gate step and the bed steps. Some of these more functional and practical features should be standard on all trim levels.
I also think Ford should be first on the block to offer a factory installed winch system and remote switches. Just a thought!
The 09 hasn't grown on me like the 04 did. I usually never like a new model right out of the hole, but they eventually grow on me. I did like the 04 though when i first saw it. I do think the 04-08's look the best. Those headlights on the 09 just look funky to me.
Ford clearly stole the headlights from the new Expy. I'll have to agree with you that the '04 was an immediate hit with me too. Rugged looking yet conservative as well. The '09 line-up has tooooooo many grill options. They all look nice and yet they are all missing something. It would have been fine with me if they had opened up the front end like they did on the SD and build in that really neat bumper step like they did on the SD.
