Hey everyone,
I got my truck towed the other day on a flatbed- when he put it on i put the truck in neutral and the transfer case in neutral. All went smoothly when he dropped it off as well. When the repair was finished i started the truck - warmed it up and when i shifted the transfer case out of neutral it kicked really hard. During our snow storm today i was using 4x4 (shifted into and out of 4x4 fine) but when in (and now after) 4x4 h or l Its extremely hard to shift into PARK, REVERSE,and NEUTRAL from DRIVE (going to the left from the right) . It was never like this before. Whats wrong? this definitely isnt normal
What was getting fixed on your truck? Typically, a new problem like that has to do with what was last screwed with.
In the absence of other info, I would agree that there is an issue in the linkage. It may be out of adjustment or put back together wrong.
Atleast you got the floor shifter and not the ESOF system, sorry to see our resident tractor trailer puller is having some troubles. Hopefully they get it fixed soon considering it looks like more snow on the way.
