I was wondering if someone here could shed a little light on something for me. My brother has a 2000 Ranger 4x4 4.0l (I think)... he says it keeps throwing a EGR inefficiency code. Has anyone had this problem and is there a common fix. He replaced the EGR valve with a new MotorCraft one and that didnt fix it. He live in TN so I cannot physically check it out myself. I wasnt sure if the cat was getting clogged or mybe something else.

Autozone has a good DIY site on their web pageat www.autozone.com lots of info on emissions. Also I found this site that has some good info on it http://fordfuelinjection.com It might be of help to him.
