damn cam problems again....
hey guys,
i cleaned up my cam and put it in the block a fwe days ago and when i went to set the rockers today, i noticed that the lifters all overlapped the cam differently(the lifter diameters are .880 in. and the cam lobes are .550 in. wide) but one side of the lifters are maybe .1 in. overlapped and the other side is at least double this difference. what i need to know is is this regular? it freaked me out a good bit and i need to know if something is wrong. the overlapis greater on the front side of the lifter, so it would seem to me that the cam would need to move forward, but it wont move any more forward. could it be the cam was ground improperly? thanks for any info,
mike

This is normal for the 460.
Don't know why it's like that, but mine is the same way.
Was scared to start the engine at first, but everything was fine after engine break-in.
Always assumed that the lifters rode in the center of the lobes.
well I guess we learn something new, everyday.
