I gotta say ,the more I see those Old Big Trucks ,the more I like them..and that one really looks nice!
bobj49f2 , I think it would take me "at-least" all summer to learn how to shift that rig,6 speeds in reverse..LoL...Maybe Bonneville...LoL
in all honesty I think you will find only 12 forward gears and 3 reverse as some of the ratios are repeated for example the aux. trans will have a under direct and over drive. With the main trans in 4th, the rear in low, and the aux. in OD, it is very close to running the main box in 4th, the rear in high, and the aux. in direct. It is still a very nice rig though. I wonder which six he is running?
Nice truck, but.... it would be somewhat like the Mack wrecker that I "tried" to drive once. It had a quadraplex trans(2 sticks with 4 speeds each + reverse) a 4 speed aux, and 3, yes 3 speed Eaton twin screw rears. At idle in low gear, it would move about an inch every 10-12 seconds Glad I only had to move it around the building and not down the road, I'd still be shifting.
Never before has there been a more selfless individual. I am once more blown away by your willingness to make the big sacrifices for the greater good of the rest of us.
What do you say folks? can I get a big round of applause for this kind and caring man who is ready to jump headlong into the breach?? TEAR IT UP DICK!!!!!! we are behind you all the way!!!
