97 F350/ 460
It drops to about 6to7 mpg need any help to get better mpg.
Also I,m thinking about dropping a power stroke in any coments ?
how much trouble is this going to be to swap
Assuming your truck is stock, your mpg is within range, but a little on the low side, considering the extra weight and more drivetrain drag of a 350. If you have bigger than stock tires, you may be lugging the engine and loosing mileage. A very common mistake since fat big tires are popular for looks but can adversely affect towing performance.
I heave read that the Ford trucks with 460 have restrictive exhaust and benefit a lot from headers, freeflowing mufflers and pipes. Also read that the Jacobs ignition or the MSD have helped mileage a few mpg.
May be worth looking into an RV cam.
Good Luck,

Just my opinion, DO NOT GET A JACOBS IGNITION SYSTEM!! I put a Jacobs Pro Street system on my F350. No power gains and mileage went DOWN! Put it on my 79 351M and now have a miss between 1900 and 3000 RPM. Its going back to Jacobs if for no other reason than to get rid of it! Dont waste your money like I did.
