How do you attach your engine hoist

I have a 5.8L in my 94 f-250 and I'm looking for ideas on how to attach the engine hoist to the engine.

You can hook it up the the exhaust ports. I used my mustang 5.0 engine lift brackets.

You can just bolt the chain to the front and to the back. Like the 4th port on the passenger side, and the 1st port on the drivers side. Thats how I did it when I took mine out.

i just take out a bolt, put a link of the chain through it, and put it back in. i usually use an exhaust or intake manifold bolt.

Sometimes if the engine has never been molested about the exhause manifolds, you will still have one chain lift point, with a bolt through a chain link on the otherside of the engine at an oppisite corner for balance reasons. You will either need a long enough chain or take the upper intake off for clearance reasons.

If you go to a junk yard, i think most 5.0s have them.

My 1996 351 has a hook on the left front and right rear of the engine.
