Hey everyone here is the promlem I am having with a 2001 ford expedition. The engine shuts down then restarts with no problem. It's not hard to start on restart. I did install a new cam sensor from Napa still having the same problem.Was wondering if anyone has used an after market part with bad results,then used a ford part with good results.I have checked fuel psi performed a pull test on all elec con.I should also mention it does have a performance package. At this time I do not know the name of the add on .But the owner has had this add on on the truck for a very long time so I am ruleing out that as a problem.I know that navistar had a shim deal to shim the sensor out thinking the cam gear was getting to close to the sensor and breaking the signal any coment on this,the engine has 100,000 miles on it. I am a Cat tech with Michigan Cat and the 3126 although its a stright 6 works on the same type system so all the stupid stuff I have checked wire con,oil level,pull test. Any help would be great

Sounds like your idle air control (IAC) valve is dirty and needs to be cleaned or replaced. About the size of a rolls of quarters, mounted near the TB.
